I had an effing miserable day at work--some of it my own fault, some of it not. And I'm here to report, a day like that is worse if you're hungry.
Workout fine. I attempted music with the rope, and it was a bad call. Much smoother when I snapped it off. Half portions fine. Hunger present and annoying as fuck, but manageable. Haven't been headache-y the way I usually get when a meal is delayed too long.
Quick poll. If you could live in any of the following places for 2-3 years (furnished apartment provided), which would you pick?
Paris (furnishings not included)
Bratislava
Tallinn
Washington, DC (apartment not included)
Melbourne
Ho Chi Minh
Singapore
Bangkok
Tblisi
Paris, hands-down. But I haven't been to many of the other cities on your list, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask. I have driven through Bratislava and thought it was pretty dreary. Hmmm, what are you cooking up? :)
ReplyDeleteYes, being hungry is irritating. I promise it'll get better soon!
I think I'd go with Paris also - or maybe Melbourne or Bangkok. Fun! Is this a real-world choice you're making?? Sounds big!
ReplyDeleteI get cranky very easily when I'm hungry. Tara's right, it will change very soon. And, you can still have half a snack if you're ravenous!
paris or melbourne for me.
ReplyDeleteliving in europe is great if only cos it is super easy to visit the rest of europe on weekends/short trips. so u could pop to tallinn and bratislava whenever u wanted!
melbourne cos i love the Oz attitude to life.
Oooh -- hard choice. 2-3 years is a long time! I guess I'd go with the one that was equally exciting (agreed about travel easy travel to other places being a huge plus) and culturally challenging (so that you get the most out of the experience). I'm sad to say I don't even know what countries #2 & 3 are in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the answers. It's a real-world decision since my job rotates every couple of years. I was in Botswana before, and am in the middle of two years in Hong Kong now. I feel lame, but I'm leaning towards DC--homesick!
ReplyDeleteYou can surf in Melbourne! Estonia is badass. But you get the food/people/quality of life max out of Ho Chi Minh (IMHO).
ReplyDeleteAnywhere but Tblisi, I HATE that place. (Don't ask, a new years party I want to forget!)
