I generally wake up at 6 or 7, no matter what the day of the week. Mornings are the best time--the early light, the feeling of possibility, no one else making demands on my time yet. But I was so exhausted today that I turned over and stayed in bed till 9:30. That meant a cascade of lateness through the day, culminating in me, right now at 9 pm, in the midst of cooking dinner.
I'm still tired.
I know what you mean about "a cascade of lateness." I'm a morning person, too, and if I don't get going early, I'll be doing everything too late. But it sounds like you did the right thing and got a little extra rest.
ReplyDeleteI had some pretty late dinners in the first few weeks, too...and, still have some late dinners. Just keep pluggin' along. There will be some bursts of energy along the way to balance the tired days.
ReplyDeleteYou'll get more efficient with the food prep. and exercise and all as the weeks go by. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteThe ladies above SPEAK TRUTH!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes over sleep on the weekend. The only way I can wake up is if I go outside in the sun and walk around or something.
ReplyDeleteSo -- what do other folks do when you sleep in late? do you skip a meal or try to get it all in during your waking hours.. I love sleeping in on wknds, but I agree that this makes for some difficulty coordinating not jumping rope on a full stomach..
